Cotton Restaurant to Feature NH Mac & Cheese Bake-off Winner

The first place winners in the NH Made category of “New Hampshire’s Own Macaroni and Cheese Bake Off,” will have NH Granite State Dairy Promotionstheir recipe featured on the menu of Cotton restaurant in Manchester the week of February 20th.  Contestants entering this category were required to use at least one milk and cheese product sourced from a NH dairy farm or cheese making facility.

A  team of dairy farmer sisters took home the exclusive, sought after prize. Deb Erb of Springvale Farms in Landaff and Doreen Morris of Gamblin’ Farm in Haverhill took first place in the NH Made category with their “Northern Comfort” macaroni and cheese.”

The first place dish will be prepared by master chef Jeffrey Paige of Cotton restaurant in Manchester, NH.  Chef Paige is a passionate supporter of the local food movement and serves up seasonal fare whenever possible.

The New Hampshire products that Deb and Doreen used to make their winning dish were the Erbs’ own Landaff  Creamery cheese and half-and-half cream from Hatchland Farm dairy in North Haverhill.

The Erbs make their Landaff Creamery cheese based on a traditional Welsh recipe using their own farm milk.
